In this state, the work of accrediting nurse aide programs is managed by the Montana State Survey and Certification Agency. The duration of approved classes is 75 hours, out of which 25 hours are devoted to on-the-job practice and the remaining 30 hours are scheduled for class lecture.
You should be of 18 years, physically and mentally fit and must have clean criminal history, in order to register your name in certified nursing assistant programs. Some institutes also require the candidates to qualify an aptitude test, conducted by them.
The coursework of training program teaches you about infection control, emergency and safety procedure, patient’s rights, basing nursing, HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standards, etc. The clinical part is carried out under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse.
