The South Dakota Board of Nursing regulates and recognizes nurse aide classes, in this state. The duration of approved classes is 75 hours and is divided into two portions: 16 hours are scheduled for on-the-job experience in clinics and 59 hours for in-class learning. You will learn skills, like performing CPR, precautions for safety, placing a patient in the bathtub, feeding and grooming of patients, making bed, measuring vital signs, etc.
