Any nursing student, who is willing to enter into the nursing field, can have wider selection of degrees in Kansas. These programs are offered by a number of schools, community colleges and technical institutes throughout Kansas. The student can choose online or campus education for the degree perusal. All pre-licensure programs make a student eligible to earn a Master of Science in Nursing degree. Upon completion of the program, students can sit for the National Licensing Exam (NCLEX) and earn RN licensure. They are also eligible to test for certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL).

Basic baccalaureate graduates/LPN may opt for the licensure examination (NCLEX) to practice as a registered nurse. The BSN also serves as the foundation for graduate study in nursing.
