The State of Oregon is very particular about the quality and regulation of nursing education. The Oregon Nursing Board has approved certain degree programs, which are offered to students for various studies through State approved campus, technical and vocational institutes, nursing schools and community colleges.

Oregon has 15 associate degree programs for RN:

A minimum of two academic years are required to complete the Associate Degree in nursing program. The community college requirements should also be met for this program.

The main schools offering this program are Blue Mountain Community College, Central Oregon Community College, Chemeketa Community College, Clackamas Community College and so on.

Baccalaureate Degree Programs

Oregon offers seven baccalaureate degree programs through 10 colleges or university campus such as Concordia University, George Fox University,  Linfield-Good Samaritan School of Nursing, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Nursing—Portland etc.

Practical Nurse Programs

During the first year, Seven Oregon Associate Degree programs have a Practical Nurse (PN) curriculum during which makes a student eligible to appear for the NCLEX-PN upon completion.  In addition, Oregon has seven stand-alone PN programs.

Columbia Gorge Community College, Clatsop Community College, Mt. Hood Community College etc. offers these programs.

Doctoral Degree Programs

Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) School of Nursing, University of Portland School of Nursing and others offer this degree program.
