Brockton Hospital School of Nursing (BHSN) is a private co-educational institution of higher education founded in 1897 and, located at 20 miles south of Boston in Brockton, MA. The school is also a part of Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. BHSN is also has the credit of being only hospital-based nursing school in the state of Massachusetts. Over 2000 nurses, mainly from southeastern Massachusetts have been graduated from BHSN. The school is also proud of its long legacy and tradition of quality nursing education to its students.


Fisher College is collegiate affiliation of BHSN for cooperative offering of two year day and four year weekend/evening nursing program for awarding students a diploma in nursing from BH School of Nursing and, an Associate in Science degree that is granted by Fisher College. Graduates also get the eligibility to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for registered nurses. The exam passing record of the students are also commendable as, 95% of graduates passed the examination on their first attempt in 2008.

The Programs are offered both as Day Division and Weekend/ evening division.

The students attending Day division are mostly traditional high school graduates, though in recent years, many non-traditional students, men adult learners, single parents, and licensed practical nurses have also got themselves enrolled for day learning.

Adult learners are the primary Weekend/ evening division students, who may be working full time in some other jobs and are not able to attend Day Division classes. Even professionals, who are in the process of a career change, also get enrolled for Weekend/ evening division. These classes also offer an opportunity to earn a diploma without missing out full time day work routine.

BHSN has 18 nursing faculties and all of them possess Masters of Science degrees and other appropriate credentials. Fisher College faculties hold appropriate terminal degrees.

BHSN also tries their best to assist students by helping them with required support to ease their nursing program cost. A combination of grants, scholarships and loans individually are offered to qualified students for their resources and total cost of education. Over half of the students receive these financial assistances from BHSN.
